...I have visited some Maternity Clinic & a Specialist Hospitals here in Gombe metropolis last week ago. I was so unhappy by the way I saw how some Doctors been treating a patient and inpact that make me to write this little advices to our Doctors!

Some Golden Words To Every Doctor:

🌡A patient is never a customer or consumer, let the law of the land say anything.

 🌡Every patient is a life with a beating heart and a thinking brain, and you are being trusted by that patient to keep that heart beating and brain thinking.

 🌡That is your responsibility today and after a thousand years as a doctor. 

 🌡Don't ever be carried away by pride, anger or suffering, because you are the only link between the patient and life.

 🌡Every patient will not be kind to you. Some will shout, some blame, some threaten and some sue. 

🌡Stay above that plane of interaction and do what you must for the good of that patient.

 🌡If you feel you are not required, leave without either a harsh word or a bad feeling, because more lives wait to be saved by you, your time is far more precious. 



🌡Clinical skills, patient interaction and communication skills are on a sharp decline. 

🌡We will all benefit from learning more about these. In the massive information overload that burdens us, clinical skills can form a solid ground to confidently walk upon.

 🌡Writing your differential diagnosis is the best strategy to learn and eliminate mistakes.

🌡 Overconfidence is the biggest risk for a doctor! Be the best soul that your patient meets. 

🌡Even the most illiterate or rural patient will notice your words, manners and etiquette. These must always be perfect.

...A takaice ina so nayi amfani da wannan damar domin tayaku murnar shiga wannan shekarar (2020), tare kuma da taya ku addu'ar cimma dukkan burinku na alkairi acikin wannan sabuwar shekarar. Da kuma fatan Allah yasa mun shiga a sa'a!


Fatan alkairi gareku duka ‘yan-uwa da abokai dama customers namu gaba daya, Kai harda ma makwabtanmu su Baka Sale Ozil Yaran shago mai labile!



....Eh wannan tsokanar dakai nake Auwal Boxy domin naga gaba daya sanyin nan Yana baka mamaki, sai wani faman kyakkyarwa kake kamar zakaranda ruwa ya masa duka! Hahhhh

Happy Weekend

A Nigerian Teacher Was Sent To China To Teach....

The first day he entered the class, he decided to call attendance.
He called the first name: "Sheng",
A student stood up and answered: "present sir"
He called the second name: "chu muon",
Another student answered: "present sir".
Suddenly he sneezed: "hatchia".
One student seated at the corner stoop up and said: "present sir"
He surprisingly exclaimed: "hmmm"
All the students shouted: "absent sir".

At this moment, he got confused and said: "Chai".
Three students immediately stood up and
said: "which of us sir".
The teacher became even more confused and asked: "what is wrong"??
A student stood up and answered: "sir, I am not wrong. I am called Wong".
Now the teacher could not help it but laughed out "hahaha...... 

A girl stood up and answered: "present sir". The teacher collapsed with laughter.

Basir/Piles

CIWON BASIR (PILES)


Ciwon basir ciwo ne da ke haddasa kumburi da radadi mai tsanani a duburan mutum (lowest part of rectum and the anus). Ciwon kan haddasa rashin jin dadi a wurin da kuma zubar da jini wani lokacin.

 Ciwon Basir Ya kasu kashi Biyu ne;

1- Akwai na waje (external hemorrhoid)
da kuma,
2- Na ciki (internal hemorrhoid). 
Ga bayaninsu kamar haka:


Ciwon Basir Na Cikin Dubura (internal hemorrhoid):

Kamar yadda aka kira shi, wannan ciwon basir na daga cikin duburar mutum (inside rectum) ne. Mutum ba ya iya taba shi da hannun saboda ya na boye ne ta ciki. Yawanci irin wannan basir din bai da zafi, saboda a wurin da ya ke, wato rectum. Abinda ke sa mutum ya ji zafi kadan ne, wato yana da pain-sensing nerves yan kadan. A kan gane mutum na dauke da irin wannan basir ne in ya na zubar da jini, wato yana bleeding, a Turance.

 Ciwon Basir Na Wajen Dubura (external hemorrhoid):

Ciwon basir na wajen dubura dai shine wadda ke fitowa a kan fata ta wajajen dubura (anus). Shi wannan irin ciwon basir ya na da zafi ko in ce radadin gaske saboda wurin na da abinda ke haddasa radadi da wuri (pain-sensing nerves). Wani dan kunburi kan samu a wurin wadda kan kunshi jini (blood clot), sannan wannan kunburin akasari kalarsa kore ne, wato blue ko kuma purple. Ya kan haddasa zafi mai tsanani da kaikayi harma ya kan yi jini wani lokacin. Ko da kumburin ya sabe mutum kan saura da shi kadan, wadda ke haddasa dan rashin jindadi a wurin wani lokaci.



Abubuwan da Mutum zaiyi Don Gujewa kamuwa da Ciwon Basir:

👉 Mutum kan iya rage hatsarin kamuwa da basir ta hanyar kula da yadda ya ke tafiyar da rayuwan shi ta inda ba zai samu matsalar bahaya mai karfi ba, wato constipation. Kuma mutum zai iya cimma hakan ta hanyoyi kamar haka:

👉 Yawan shan abu mai ruwa-ruwa: A kalla mutum ya kasance yana shan ruwa kamar kofi 8 zuwa 10 a ko wacce rana. Sannan ya samu a kalla lemun ‘ya’yan itace (fruit juice) kamar kofi biyu kullum.

👉 Cin abinci mai high fiber: Abinci kamar su danyun ‘ya’yan itace, ganyayyaki (vegetables), irin su bran cereal da sauran abinci masu dauke da fiber a ciki.

👉 Yawan motsa jiki: motsa jiki kamar irin walk da aerobics dinnan su na da kyau ga lafiya. Amma ya na da kyau mutum ya nemi shawaran kwararru kafi fara yin exercise.

👉 Yana da matukar muhimmanci mutum ya kasance ya na zagawa akai-akai (bowel movement) da ya ji bukatan hakan saboda jinkirtawa kan haifar da constipation.

👉 A kiyaye hada kiba: Mutum ya kamata ya yi kokarin tsayawa a adadin nauyinsa kamar yadda kwararru suka tabbatar masa. Hada kiba ya yi yawa kan sa wa jiki nauyi wadda hakan na haddasa ciwon basir.

👉  Yana da kyau a rika yin gwajin nauyi lokaci-lokaci don gudun wuce gona da iri.

👉 A rage yawan tsayuwa ko zama mai tsayi: In har mutum ya kasance sai ya zauna zama mai tsayi soboda sana’arsa ko dalilai makamantar wannan, to ya na da kyau ya rika tashi duk bayan awa daya haka, ya dan gewaya kadan.


Wasu Abubuwa ne ke Haddasa Ciwon Basir? 

Masana sun yi ittifaki abubuwan dake jawo ciwon basir sun hada da:

1. Gado (genetics):

Mutane kan kamu da ciwon basir ne wani lokaci saboda gado da sukan yi a wajen iyayensu ko kuma danginsu.

2. Kiba (obesity):

Saboda nama da masu kiba kan hada a kasan su (lower rectum), tafiyan jinin su, wato blood flow, kan samu matsala. Hakan sai ya sa jijiyoyin wurin su kumbura wadda hakan kan zama ciwon basir.

3. Juna Biyu (pregnancy):

Mata da yawa kan samu ciwon basir a yayin da suke da ciki, musamman lokacin da mace ta kai irin wata bakwai ko sama da haka. Wannan basir na faruwa ne saboda da irin yadda wasu matan kan fuskanci wuyan bahaya, abinda ake kira constipation a Turance, dalilin irin matsuwa (strain) da wurin ke samu a dalilin nauyi da suka kara ko makamancin hakan. Wani lokaci kuma nauyin yaro ne kan yi wa uwa yawa sai ya sa jijiyoyin ta na kasa su matsu, to shima wannan yanayi kan haifar da ciwon basir ga mace mai juna biyu.

4. Straining (wato matsuwa):

Matsuwa ba dole sai mace na da juna biyu ba ya ke faruwa. Yakan faru saboda wasu dalilai daban. Idan kuna hakan ya faru, yakan jawo ciwon basir saboda matsuwa da jijiyoyin kasan mutum (rectum) kan yi, kuma yakan haifar da kumburi ko kara fadin wurin. A wani lokaci ciwon kan fito waje ya dan yi kumburi haka mai dan laushi sannan ya rika zafi a yayin bahaya. Amma yawanci wannan kumburin kan koma don kansa ko kuma in mutum na iya mai da shi a hankali.

5. Gudawa Mai Tsawo:

Ciwon basir na wanzuwa idan mutum ya na gudawa mai tsawo, wato ya kasance mutum ya dauki lokaci mai tsawo yana bahaya kuma gudawa. Har’ila yau yakan wanzu dalilin irin bahayan nan dake fita da kyar, wato constipation. In mutum na tari abun kan kara tsananta.

Baya Ga Wadannan Dalilai da Muka Ambata A Baya, Har’ila Yau Mutum Na iya Kamuwa da Ciwon Basir ta:

Hanyar daga kaya mai nauyi

Yawan tsayuwa mai tsayi ko kuma zama mai tsayi.

Tsufa



Lokacin daya kamata Aga Likita:

A yayin da aka gwada duk abubuwan da muka ambato a saman nan amma ba ga alamun sauki ba, ko kuma anga jini na zuba, to lallai ya kamata a ga likita cikin gaggawa don samun kulawar kwararru. Allah ya sa mu dace.



Maganin Ciwon Basir:

👉 Abin murna anan shine yawa-yawancin lokaci ciwon basir na warkewa da kansa.

👉  Amma ga wasu hanyoyi da mutum zai bi a samu sauki daga radadin ko kunburin ko kuma kaikayin ciwon basir:

👉 Zama cikin ruwan dumi (ba ruwa mai zafi ba) na kamar minti 20. A yi haka sau da yawa a rana.

👉 A tambaya likitoci irin mai, wato cream da ya kamata a yi amfani da shi, a kwai su da yawa a kasuwa.

👉 A yi amfani da toilet paper mara damshi don goge wurin. Wasu kanyi amfani da tawul mai damshi ko toilet paper mai damshi zasu taimaka.

👉 Wurin ya kasance cikin tsafta a koda yaushe. Amma yin amfani da sabulu kan iya kara ingiza ciwon. Sai a kula.

👉 A tabbatar an goge wurin a hankali bayan wanka. Barin wurin da damshi kan iya sa kaikayi.

👉 A dannan wurin da kankara na minti 10 kamar sau hudu a rana.
In har basir din ya fara fitowa, to yana da kyau a maida shi a hankali.

👉 Amma a tabbatar hanu na da tsafta kafin a yi hakan.

Maltina & Milk





FACTS ABOUT COMBINATING MALT & MILK (as Blood Boaster):



Combination of Malt & Milk is not a Blood Tonic or a Blood booster. It's a myth & a lie.
& there's no truth about it...

Okay let’s analyse this a bit further.
Each 100g of Peak Milk contains:
28.3g of Fat (of which 19g is “saturated fat” which is actually bad fat - very bad medically for your heart).
37.1g carbohydrates.
25g protein.
506 kilocalories of energy.
And the rest are salt, vitamin A and D.
So essentially Peak Milk is mainly fats, carbohydrates and protein.

“Blood tonics” need to be rich in IRON- that is easily absorbable by the body- because this is what your body needs and uses to make blood!

And unfortunately Peak Milk has NONE of that. So what am I saying in essence, for ANYTHING to “give you blood” or help you build blood- it has to be a rich source of IRON- because that’s what your body needs to build blood.



That’s why when your blood is low, Pharmacist/Doctors give you IRON containing capsules which you take for it.
And that’s why ANYTHING that would be considered a “blood tonic” MUST BE a rich source of Iron.
So IF something is NOT rich in Iron, it can NOT give blood. So does that make sense so far?
IF it is NOT rich in Iron, it cannot help you to build Hemoglobin and Red Blood Cells- which is essentially what you need to “build blood”. Do you understand?

So this is why doctors just laugh at the popular myth of “malt and milk gives blood”. And
 in fact, shall I shock you more?


The Peak Milk bottle clearly says on it that it’s NOT rich in Iron.
Look at the attached image above, It is boldly written on it. So IF you are hoping to “build blood”, and you are drinking Peak Milk- you are actually wasting your time And money.

IF anything at all, all those Milk is high in “saturated fats”- which as I said earlier on is “bad fat” for your heart.
Regularly taking in large amounts would make you fat, increase bad cholesterol “LDL”, can give you hypertension, heart disease and a heart attack.

I’m NOT saying don’t take it at all.
I’m only saying as an elderlies, it has risks for your heart and on your health if you take large amounts of all those milk on a consistent continuous pattern. Because of the high calories and fat. You have to learn how to limit it and cut down.



Okay let’s analyse the Maltina.
What does it contain?
Look at the attached images above Again you see that Maltina- like any malt drink- is mainly calories and carbohydrates (sugar) with very little fat and vitamins, That’s all.

There is NO Iron what so ever in Maltina.
NONE AT ALL. So you now see my argument as a certified Pharmacist on this myth of “Maltina and Peak milk gives blood”.
Maltina has NO Iron.
Peak Milk has NO Iron.
Iron is what your body needs to build blood.

Do you now see that it makes no pharmacological sense to continue to believe this deceitful myth?



“But what about UGWU and Milk”??

Now this is NOT a myth. It is TRUE. It works.
Not because of the Milk but because of the Ugwu. And it is the same principle-
Ugwu is known as Pumpkin.
Pumpkin is actually rich in Iron. And of course Iron helps to build blood as I said earlier.

Ugwu is known to contain high levels of Iron actually. So definitely Ugwu can help you build your blood.
Look at the attached images to verify this information. Infact, the Igbos have used Ugwu as natural blood tonic for centuries.
And they are right on that. That’s NO myth.
Infact there was a research done on Ugwu Leaves and its relationship to blood building and all that.



It’s a well known fact that Ugwu can help to build blood. Taking it with milk is just for fun- the power is in the Ugwu Not milk.



“But they give us Malt and Milk after donating blood” Actually, that’s a “thanks for coming”, dears. They are not giving you back your blood AT ALL. Don’t be deceived.
It’s just an incentive for you to donate.
It’s NOT blood replacement.

“But malt and milk is sweet/refreshing”
Sweetness, ENERGY and Refreshing feeling comes from SUGAR.
