Maltina & Milk





FACTS ABOUT COMBINATING MALT & MILK (as Blood Boaster):



Combination of Malt & Milk is not a Blood Tonic or a Blood booster. It's a myth & a lie.
& there's no truth about it...

Okay let’s analyse this a bit further.
Each 100g of Peak Milk contains:
28.3g of Fat (of which 19g is “saturated fat” which is actually bad fat - very bad medically for your heart).
37.1g carbohydrates.
25g protein.
506 kilocalories of energy.
And the rest are salt, vitamin A and D.
So essentially Peak Milk is mainly fats, carbohydrates and protein.

“Blood tonics” need to be rich in IRON- that is easily absorbable by the body- because this is what your body needs and uses to make blood!

And unfortunately Peak Milk has NONE of that. So what am I saying in essence, for ANYTHING to “give you blood” or help you build blood- it has to be a rich source of IRON- because that’s what your body needs to build blood.



That’s why when your blood is low, Pharmacist/Doctors give you IRON containing capsules which you take for it.
And that’s why ANYTHING that would be considered a “blood tonic” MUST BE a rich source of Iron.
So IF something is NOT rich in Iron, it can NOT give blood. So does that make sense so far?
IF it is NOT rich in Iron, it cannot help you to build Hemoglobin and Red Blood Cells- which is essentially what you need to “build blood”. Do you understand?

So this is why doctors just laugh at the popular myth of “malt and milk gives blood”. And
 in fact, shall I shock you more?


The Peak Milk bottle clearly says on it that it’s NOT rich in Iron.
Look at the attached image above, It is boldly written on it. So IF you are hoping to “build blood”, and you are drinking Peak Milk- you are actually wasting your time And money.

IF anything at all, all those Milk is high in “saturated fats”- which as I said earlier on is “bad fat” for your heart.
Regularly taking in large amounts would make you fat, increase bad cholesterol “LDL”, can give you hypertension, heart disease and a heart attack.

I’m NOT saying don’t take it at all.
I’m only saying as an elderlies, it has risks for your heart and on your health if you take large amounts of all those milk on a consistent continuous pattern. Because of the high calories and fat. You have to learn how to limit it and cut down.



Okay let’s analyse the Maltina.
What does it contain?
Look at the attached images above Again you see that Maltina- like any malt drink- is mainly calories and carbohydrates (sugar) with very little fat and vitamins, That’s all.

There is NO Iron what so ever in Maltina.
NONE AT ALL. So you now see my argument as a certified Pharmacist on this myth of “Maltina and Peak milk gives blood”.
Maltina has NO Iron.
Peak Milk has NO Iron.
Iron is what your body needs to build blood.

Do you now see that it makes no pharmacological sense to continue to believe this deceitful myth?



“But what about UGWU and Milk”??

Now this is NOT a myth. It is TRUE. It works.
Not because of the Milk but because of the Ugwu. And it is the same principle-
Ugwu is known as Pumpkin.
Pumpkin is actually rich in Iron. And of course Iron helps to build blood as I said earlier.

Ugwu is known to contain high levels of Iron actually. So definitely Ugwu can help you build your blood.
Look at the attached images to verify this information. Infact, the Igbos have used Ugwu as natural blood tonic for centuries.
And they are right on that. That’s NO myth.
Infact there was a research done on Ugwu Leaves and its relationship to blood building and all that.



It’s a well known fact that Ugwu can help to build blood. Taking it with milk is just for fun- the power is in the Ugwu Not milk.



“But they give us Malt and Milk after donating blood” Actually, that’s a “thanks for coming”, dears. They are not giving you back your blood AT ALL. Don’t be deceived.
It’s just an incentive for you to donate.
It’s NOT blood replacement.

“But malt and milk is sweet/refreshing”
Sweetness, ENERGY and Refreshing feeling comes from SUGAR.

Malt drinks are high in Sugar and So the sweetness comes from the sugar. That it is sweet and refreshing is NOT equal to giving blood.

Daga Cikin Falalar Azumi

AMFANIN AZUMI GA LAFIYA!

Azumi, kamar yanda muka saba, shi ne kamewa daga cin abinci ko shan wani abu har zuwa wani lokaci. Wannan ‘literal definition’ kenan. Wasu na yin Azumi bisa al’ada ne, yayin da wasu kuma ke yin shi a matsayin Ibada; sai dai kuma bai tsaya iya nan ba kawai, domin yana da matukar amfani ga lafiyar dan Adam.



An raba azumi zuwa kala biyu ne a lafiyance. Na farko ‘Intermittent fasting’ shi ne irin wanda muka sani, mutum ya kame daga ci da sha na tsawon wasu awanni a rana, daga baya kuma ya dawo ya ci abinci a sauran awanni. Na biyu kuma, ‘alternate fasting’ shi ne mutum ya dauke tsawon rana din baki daya bai ci komai ba, bai sha komai ba; watarana kuma sai yaci abinci, ba tare da yin azumi ba. Kowanne daga cikin wadannan kalar azumi na da amfani ga lafiyar dan Adam. Sai dai kashi na farko, ‘Intermittent’ ya fi. Ko ba komai ya fi kashi na biyu ‘complications’. Kuma shi kashi na biyu idan ba wai bisa kulawar masana lafiya ba, yana iya komawa abun da ake ce ma ‘starvation’ (cutar yunwa), wanda zai iya illata mutum sosan gaske.

Bisa halitta jikin dan Adam na daukan akalla awanni 24 ne (kwana guda) wajen sarrafa abincin da mutum ya ci. Wato, har zuwa tsawon awa 24 din nan jikin mutum zai iya ‘adjusting’ kan shi ta hanyar wasu matakai (processes) domin samar da abincin da ‘cells’ za su yi amfani da shi wajen gabatar da ayyuka. Ashe kenan cewa,
duk wanda ya yi ‘Intermittent fasting’ har lokacin da zai sha ruwa akwai sauran wani ma’adanin abinci a jikin shi, wanda ba
lallai an yi amfani da shi ba ma. Wannan rahamar ce ta sanya mutane ke iya Azumi daga kwanaki har zuwa tsawon watanni, ba tare da sun illata ba.

Kamar yanda yake Allah (T) ne kadai Ya bar ma kan Shi sanin irin dimbin ladan da Azumi yake da shi, haka zalika, Shi kadai Ya san irin dimbin amfani da yake da shi ga lafiyar dan Adam. Wasu kadan daga ciki su ne:

1. Rage Kiba:
Kiba (Obesity) cuta ce mai hadarin gaske. Wacce take iya haifar da muggan cututtuka kamar su Hawan jini, Ciwon zuciya, ciwon
suga da sauran su. Yin azumi yana rage yawan kibar mutum sosai, ta hanya mafi sauki. Akwai binciken da ya nuna cewa, baya ga motsa jiki (exercise) babu abun da ya kai yin Azumi rage kibar mutum. Ta hanyar rage kitse ‘fat’ da Azumi ke yi, zai taimaka wajen rage yiwuwar kamuwar wadancan muggan cututtuka, ma su kashe mutum lokaci daya.

2. Kariya daga cutar kwakwalwa, da kuma ciwon daji (Cancer):
Bincike ya tabbatar da cewa yin Azumi yana rage yiwuwar kamuwa da cututtukan kwakwalwa marassa magani (Neuro-degenerative diseases) da kuma ciwon daji (cancer) ta wata hanya da ake ce ma
‘Autophagy’ (cinye kai). Akwai wasu sinadarai da ke cinye duk wani ‘protein’ da ya gama aiki ko yake da matsala a jikin mutum, Azumi na sanya kara yawan wadannan sinadaran a jikin mutum. Ta
haka, duk wasu ‘proteins’ da suka gama aiki za’a gama da su, a fitar da su daga jiki baki daya. Wannan ba karamin rahama ba ne ga al’umma.

3. Kara Lafiyar Ciki da Hanji:
Ta hanyar rage cin duk wani abu da ya zo hannun mutum, kamar yanda aka saba idan ba’a Azumi; ciki da kuma hanji na samun isashshen lokacin da za su gama da dukkan abun da yake cikin su yanda ya kamata. Sabanin idan ba’a azumi yanda kila duk kusan bayan awa daya sai mutum ya jefa wani abun cikin shi (wani abun ma bai dace a ci ba).

4. Karin Girma, da kuma Rage Kumburi:
Bincike ya tabbatar da cewa, Azumi na sanya a saki sinadarin karin girma a jikin mutum (Growth Hormone secretion). Wanda baya ga karin girma, har wala yau, yana taimakawa wajen sarrafa wasu muhimman ayyuka da jikin mutum (metabolism), wanda ta hanyar shi ne ake ‘controlling’ duk wani aiki na jiki. Kari akan haka, shi ma yana taimakawa wajen rage kiba.

Rage kumburi (inflammation), yana taimakawa wajen rage yiwuwar kamuwa da cututtuka irin su ciwon daji (Cancer) dss.

5. Rage yiwuwar kamuwa da cututtuka kamar su Ciwon Suga, Hawan jini..
Azumi, ta hanyar rage kitse (body fat) daga jikin mutum, yana taimakawa wajen kariya daga cututtukan da suka fi yawan kashe
mutane a duniya yanzu. Ciwon zuciya (Myocardial infarction) shine abu na biyu da ya fi kashe mutane. Ciwon Suga (DM) ya zama ruwan dare, kuma daya daga cikin cutar fa tafi kowacce yawan kashe mutane. Hawan jini, wanda ya zama kamar abun yayi; na daya daga cikin mafi munin cutuka da ke kashe mutum ‘silently’.

6. Tsawon Rai:
Idan aka hada ‘process of autophagy’ wanda ake cinye ‘proteins’ din da suka gama aiki ko suka samu matsala; da kuma irin kariya daga wasu mugayen cututtuka da suka fi kowanne kashe mutane, za mu ga cewa, Azumi ba wai kawai yana kara lafiya ba ne, yana kara nisan kwanan mutum ne kai tsaye. Bincike ya tabbatar da cewa wadanda ke Azumi sun fi wadanda ba su Azumi jimawa a duniya. Sun fi su rashin tsufa da wuri, kuma sun fi su rashin mutuwa da wuri.
